Street ads to high art: Vintage European Posters displays collection in Paso
It all started with a young girl falling in love. It seemed impractical, but eventually Elizabeth Norris decided to just go for it. The 1890s poster, with the words "When Hearts are Trumps" by William Bradley-once an advertisement for a book of poetry by an American author-was one of Norris's first big purchases.

Studios on the Park cancels Paso ArtsFest
Studios on the Park has announced the cancellation of its 2017 Paso ArtsFest, the largest free art festival on the Central Coast, and has no plans to continue the event in the future.
Painting pairings
Appetizers and Cass Winery wines will be paired with presentations by artists Deladier Almeida and Karl Dempwolf at an Artists Talk and Tasting held March 2 at 6 p.m. at Cass Winery in Paso Robles. The cost is $50 per person, and reservations are required. Call 238-9800 to RSVP.

The largest free art festival on the Central Coast, Paso Artsfest, has announced that the event has been discontinued and will no longer be taking place in Paso Robles over Memorial Day weekend.
Free Paso Robles arts festival discontinued
Studios on the Park in Paso Robles says it will no longer hold the annual free art festival known as PASO ARTSFEST. The festival usually takes place over Memorial Day weekend at Downtown City Park, featuring works by local artists and others from around the world, live demonstrations, wine booths, vendors, and other art-related activities. Officials at the non-profit studio say they can no longer sustain the demands of an event of its size. In a statement, Studios on the Park Board President Barbara Partridge said, "Community collaborations like this must be nurtured, especially today, and I hope Studios on the Park and the City of Paso Robles can continue to forge productive and meaningful partnerships. Discontinuing ARTSFEST will allow us to better serve our community and visitors."
