The largest free art festival on the Central Coast, Paso Artsfest, has announced that the event has been discontinued and will no longer be taking place in Paso Robles over Memorial Day weekend.
“Studios on the Park regrets to inform the public that we can no longer sustain the demands of running an event of the size and scope of Paso Artsfest,” says Barbara Partridge, president of the Board for Studios on the Park.
“We thank our past attendees, community partners, artists, sponsors and volunteers for helping us bring art to life through a truly magical event these past eight years.” Barbara said, “It has been a joy to have been among the partners who have shaped a community event that brings our citizens together in celebration of creativity and differing interpretations of our world. Community collaborations like this must be nurtured, especially today, and I hope Studios on the Park and the City of Paso Robles can continue to forge productive and meaningful partnerships. Discontinuing Artsfest will allow us to better serve our community and visitors.”
Studios on the Park, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit open studios art center in downtown Paso Robles, is open to the public daily at noon and provides community arts access and education programs to over 100,000 children and adults every year. Current offerings include free hands-on Kids Art Smart fine art experiences, monthly changing exhibitions, Art After Dark Paso open house celebrations, and open studios with professional resident artists.
