It's time for the Summer Craft Invitational at Studios on the Park
Do you need an artsy porcelain mug to hold your morning coffee? How about a clean, modern receptacle to showcase your cool new air plant? Or, perhaps you are looking for that perfect scarf made from iridescent, unicorn-approved thread (we all need one of those)? Studios on the Park has gathered all of these unique locally made goods (and a bunch more) in one place for its annual Summer Craft Invitational through Aug. 30. The Studios Atrium is currently filled with works crafted by Liza Allen, Toni Bouman, Kimi Masui, Pam Rivas, Dense Chryver, Michael Spiegelhalter, Anne Stewart, and Jacqueline Thompson. If you have buyer's remorse, this is the stop for you. How can you possibly feel bad about supporting artists while simultaneously adding to your cool points?
You're invited

This multi-artist exhibit will feature a variety of media including sculpture, textiles, pottery, and these cool air plant displays pictured here. To find out more, visit studiosonthepark.org.

Studios on the Park exhibits the work of Harold Spencer and sons
How often do parents and their kids get together for the sole purpose of creating with pure abandon? Not often enough. In celebration of artistic divergence and the diversity that can be found within one single family, Studios on the Park will play host to artist Harold Spencer and his two sons for an exhibit that ranges from prints and drawings to collage and sculpture.
One and only

Seventh annual Paso Arts Fest: Celebrating a world filled with color
The seventh annual Paso ArtsFest returned to City Park on Saturday. The day included a fine art show, art workshops, a public mural project, hands-on children's and teen art stations, live music, dance performances, a wine lounge and other activities. The event is organized by and raises money for Paso Robles' Studios on the Park, a nonprofit organization that offers fine art programs to adults and children.
New art in Paso Art Fest
The seventh annual PASO ARTSFEST took over City Park in downtown Paso Robles today. Works from 80 artists from across the globe were also available for auction. They were called wet paintings because the artists painted them while staying this week on the Central Coast. Kids could try their hand at painting as well or build sand castles. Another fun sight there today: an actual steamroller cranking out prints on the streets.
Pass of the arts
Don't pass on the annual Paso Artsfest, held May 22 to 24, with the main event May 23, at the Downtown City Park. The festival features a wet painting sale, sand sculpting, interactive art experiences, live music, and more. Related events include an Artmaker Dinner, keynote and after party, a Hearst Castle Sunset Reception and Art Tour, and plein air painting workshops. Visit pasoartfest.com for details.
