A new exhibit at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles, uses art to reveal the migrant experience and its implications on culture and history.
Curators Anne Laddon and Eve Chartrand say it was inspired by the Syrian refugee crisis and other contemporary migration challenges around the world.
They say, the pieces tell unique and thought-provoking stories using a range of media from sculpture, to photography and paint.
"Every piece, I met with the artist I listened to what they said, because they all had a personal message behind the piece,” Chartrand said.
The exhibit features artists across the globe. It opens Saturday and continues through the end of January.
All of the work is for sale.
