Studios on the Park presents The Military Experience in Art: Protecting Freedom

By Ryah Cooley

In an era where some say a certain presidential candidate could easily start the next world war, it’s good to take a moment of reflection and look back in time in the hope that we can avoid the sins of the past.

Studios on the Park in Paso Robles presents the exhibit, The Military Experience in Art: Protecting Freedom, curated by Jill Thayer, Ph.D. The show runs through Aug. 28 and features selected works from the collections of Estrella Warbirds Museum and Camp Roberts Historical Museum. The artwork, which includes paintings and limited-edition prints, brings to life the eras of WWII and the Korean and Vietnam Wars through the eyes of its artists.

Studios on the Park is located at 1130 Pine St. and is open Monday through Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m., Thursdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 9 p.m. Visit studiosonthepark.org for more information.
