Little masterpieces
The Paso Robles Art Association's annual Small Treasures show and fundraiser will be displayed in November and December at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles. Entries are limited to 8-by-8 entries of two-dimensional art and similar "small" stature for three-dimensional art, and each piece of art will be sold for $100, regardless of the artist or their reputation. A reception and silent auction will be held Nov. 5 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Find out more by visiting pasoroblesartassociation.org.

Fear not, experience (guaranteed to turn out well) watercolor painting with Studios on the Park's COLORbar in Paso Robles. Create your own masterpiece by filling in an already prepared original design by resident artist Jordan Hockett. The $10 fee includes all materials (but no instruction) and supports Studios' essential arts services to local children and adults. The COLORbar is open through Sept. 30. Independence Day celebration raises $10,000 for local charities
Organizers of Paso Pops, this year's patriotic-themed concert and Independence Day celebration complete with fireworks sponsored by the Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles, delivered four checks to local non-profit youth arts programs totaling $10,000. The funds were raised from the 3,000 locals who attended the first-ever Paso Pops event on July 4th.
