Our new exhibition, City and Country, is an exciting collection of watercolor and oil paintings by Frank Eber and Ken Christensen. Both of these Fantastic artists will be showcasing drastically diverse work. The art differs in subject matter, medium, style, and scale. Even with all this diversity, or maybe because of it, their art comes together to create an amazing representation of life and beauty!

What is your FAVORITE medium? 🤔
Artists come in many different styles, mediums, and levels of expertise. Perhaps you are a painter or maybe a sketcher? Are you a pastel artist or a sculptor? A doodler, maybe? You might be a well-seasoned expert, or you might possibly be a newbie! Regardless of your chosen medium or level of expertise, our Sip n' Sketch event is for you!

📢📢Calling all artists and aspiring artists!📢📢 This upcoming Saturday the 15th from 6-9 pm is our Sip n' Sketch event! Come and draw, paint, sketch, ink, etch, and create based off of our still life while enjoying a generous pour of some incredible local wine. Sounds like a pretty perfect evening! And here's the BEST part: our resident artists @laddonanne and @tereztyniartist will be in attendance to help give tips and tricks, and of course- enjoy wine with you! 😉🍷

The photos shown are some of our participants creations last month at this event, and this month's is going to be just as fantastic. This packaged experience is $25 and includes a seat with a desk, (and an easel if that is what you prefer) a glass of wine, and the formal, friendly instruction offered by our two talented artists! Come bring your unique take and learn something new!

Last week was cold and rainy, this week is full of sunshine! This Spring has been quite a whirlwind! 🌦️

Luckily, Studios on the Park is open rain or shine and admission is FREE😱!! That makes us a pretty darn reliable and affordable destination for dates, family outings, hanging out with friends, or some relaxing alone time!

Our non-profit art gallery is open from 12-4 Sunday-Thursday and 12-9 on Fridays and Saturdays, and we would love to meet you! Come by and appreciate the last month of our youth photography show before we get something new in here come May!🎨😄❤️

Meet Bob Simola, one of our extraordinary printmakers!😁❤

Although Simola has many different artistic outlets such as poetry, teaching, stained glass, writing, and gardening, he always finds himself returning to wood carving. Simola is known for his intricate wood-carved blocks he uses to make his prints, and is often asked how long it takes him to carve a piece. His answer is always the same: “About five or ten minutes.” Regardless of whether hours or weeks or even months have passed, Simola always feels as though only five or ten minutes have passed because he becomes so immersed in what he loves. The gouge resting in the palm of the hand and the way the blade slides through the wood are the only things that count.

Simola's beautiful works can be found year-round in our printmakers studio at the front of Studios on the Park and in the front window throughout the month of April. He is usually working in the printmakers studio here at the front of Studios on the Park on Saturdays from 12-4, so come in and say hi! 😄

Our new exhibition has a fun twist! Instead of Art

Our new exhibition has a fun twist! Instead of Art-Appreciators coming in to look at the art, the Art will now be looking at the Art Appreciators through motion-sensing technology in our new show, “Eye Spy”! 📷👀

Using a similar model to Microsoft's Kinect camera, this advanced technology uses older software programs that are able to distinguish differences in objects from the background through observing textures and color, and movement. Through small cut outs in these paintings specifically created for this show, we are able to produce the illusion of the eyes moving by placing a small LED screen right behind the canvas, creating the illusion of our paintings “watching” onlookers! 🤯

Art is so often placed in a fishbowl where we- the viewers- are entitled to consuming it visually. Our new show expresses a world where these roles are reversed, and the eerie feeling of being observed and judged by the art itself is a cruel twist of fate. Some may feel uplifted, as though this theme is to show that we as people are the true masterpieces, while others might feel the harsh twinge of judgment. What perspective will you find at this show? Come find out! This show will be up from March 32nd to April 31st.❤😁❤
