PRAA The Showroom

The PRAA Showroom Gallery is very proud to present "Zip-a-Dee-Duo: The Fine Art of Walt Peregoy and Frank Armitage." Two fine artists with long years of creative history. Both men have created memorable work during their years of working for Walt Disney during the times when Disney Studios was at a creative high. They helped to influence the way the baby boom generation was regularly exposed to art as entertainment in the form of TV and film.

Walt Peregoy has been referred to as "one of the most perceptive and most promising graduates" of Fernand Leger Atelier in Paris. He brought that influence to Disney. Walt Peregoy, best known for his work on 101 Dalmatians, also worked on Peter Pan, Lady & The Tramp, and many others. He lives and works in Encino, California.

Frank Armitage worked on The Jungle Book, Peter Pan and a long list of other popular animated films. He is said to be most proud of his work as a background painter in the film Sleeping Beauty. He is a well-known Paso Robles resident with his studio downtown in Studios on the Park.

Both artists have studied with Mexican muralists. Frank Armitage worked on murals with David Alfaro Siqueiros and Peregoy at the University de Bellas Artes. They have both created large and beautiful murals for the Disney theme parks. Today their paintings are in many private collections. Walt Peregoy has been referred to as one of the most popular and most talented caricature artists .

Zip-a-Dee-Duo, an exhibition of the art of Walt Peregoy and Frank Armitage, offers collectors an opportunity to see rare works by these artists at very special prices for a short time only.
