Like stepping into a short story collection, each gown tells its own tale. The work is made up of precious and humble materials, discarded garments, fabrics, and trims, as well as bits of nature and desk supplies. The themes run from very personal to caring for the environment, bringing to light the importance of women as creators and nurturers. Curated by artists Melinda Forbes and Julie Frankel.
