Creativity and artistic expression are critical to Cal Poly's Learn by Doing legacy. "The Cal Poly Connection" highlights these values and celebrates 11 accomplished visual artists, each one unique.
This exhibit showcases a diversity of thought and inspiration: alumni who comment on humanity and social issues through photography and mixed media; faculty nationally known for being at the top of their medium; and students exploring their own voices through a Learn by Doing education.
Throughout the show, artists describe in their own words how Cal Poly has influenced their work. You'll read that students are a vital source of inspiration, that careers begin before graduation, that a hands-on education hones creativity, that artists are born from all disciplines, and that there is a growing body of artists who are Cal Poly Proud.
The Art After Dark Paso Opening Reception for The Cal Poly Connection will be March 7 and will feature talented Cal Poly musicians and Cal Poly Wine poured by the next generation of industry leaders.
