Join us for a beginner clay workshop! We will be making a Terra Cotta Ceramic Femme Mug or Tumbler! You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method and decorating by sculpting and texturing clay. Adriana Lemus will guide you through this two-hour intro to clay workshop and Studios on the Park will provide your first beverage to get the creative juices flowing!
The $85 fee includes terra cotta clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, two hours of instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, AND a glass of wine! Once your pottery is created, you will leave it with the instructor where she will take it back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-6 weeks. When complete, your pottery will be brought back to Studios on the Park to be picked up.
