Extend the life of your beloved garments through mending and repairs. Learn to sew on a button, repair a seam/hem, and mend those holes.
In this class we’ll address hand mending for all types of clothing/home goods/stuffies, visible and invisible mending.
You will bring a garment or other item that needs mending.
Included in class fee:
- I’ll have on hand various threads, needles, and stabilizers (if needed). The following tools are available for use in class: scissors, marking tools, iron, etc.
- You should bring thread to match if your item is a distinct color and you want an invisible mend.
- Do you own a sewing machine and want to use it for mending? Let’s do it! Let’s make this class a mixed class of hand or machine mending.
- You must know how to thread your machine and wind a bobbin independently to use your machine in this class. I recommend taking the Sewing Basics class if you need a refresher.
