Making art is Janice Pluma's work and it is also her play. Ultimately, it always comes from the heart. In the most romantic season of the year, you’re invited to ponder the many facets of affection through her mixed media exhibition, Labor of Love.
Whether it’s through iconic Valentine motifs, reflections on life’s pivotal moments, or purely abstract compositions, every piece is intended to complete a connection with you, the viewer, in that private space where emotion assumes priority over words.

About Janice Pluma
Janice Pluma, a native Californian, was born in Los Angeles and raised in Sacramento. Her interest in art began in childhood, and has never diminished. She spent much of her adult life moving to different locales, and studied fine art at colleges in California, Colorado and North Dakota. Eventually, she received a degree in graphic design from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, worked for various San Luis Obispo county newspapers and magazines...and continued to paint.
In 1997 Janice formed a freelance business, Warpaint Graphics, specializing in print media: magazines, logos, business collateral and wine labels. Today, after more than twenty years as a graphic designer, her primary focus returns to an active fine art career. Janice shares a collaborative studio, Atelier 708, with two other Paso Robles artists and shows her work in various solo and group exhibitions. She is a past president of Paso Robles Art Association, member of SLOMA, Arts Obispo, and signature member of the
International Society of Acrylic Painters. See more of Janice’s work at www.janicepluma.com, and by appointment at Atelier 708, Paso Robles, CA.
