A collection of brand-new, never-before-seen pieces by Joseph Kalionzes
About Joseph Kalionzes
A Central California native, Joseph has been creating art since he first felt the urge to “doodle.” Largely self taught, whether by carving potatoes to make wrapping paper as a child or finding old linoleum flooring to practice with, he has been growing as a printmaker over the years. Always inspired by travel and the sea, Joseph has been partial to sketchbooks and printmaking rather than photography to enliven his memories. Having had the opportunity to learn about and experience the work of printmakers from around the world, he has found his own style and simply enjoys the journey of the initial sketch to the final pulled print. In his desire to give back to the community, he recently developed a summer art camp at Santa Lucia School in Templeton. His work can currently be seen on prominent Paso Robles wine labels and in select galleries on the Central Coast.
