Curious about the process of Printmaking? Join Bar

Curious about the process of Printmaking? Join Barbara & Rosey Rosenthal on Saturday, May 18th from 2-4pm for a FREE Printmaking Demo, complete with the opportunity to participate for yourself! ✨

Rosey and Barb will help you ink, wipe, and print an etching plate they have already drawn and etched. The printed paper etching will be yours to keep! We will provide gloves and an apron; you'll provide the muscle to turn the etching press.

To sign up for a participation slot, please reserve your space by emailing contact@studiosonthepark.org. We can accommodate 3-4 participants per half hour slot, or you can watch and learn!

✨ Meet our May featured artists, Bob Simola & David Butz! ✨

These two Resident Artists are both talented printmakers in the Printmaker's Studio.

Bob is a wood carver. Although he has often gone off in other directions: poetry, teaching, stained glass, writing, gardening; he always returns to carving wood as his touchstone. 🪵

David explores printmaking processes, pushing limits and trying new techniques. In intaglio printmaking, a plate (or other matrix) is created that conveys the ink to the paper to make the print. He loves the way the plate captures the character and energy of his marks and convey his feelings to the paper. ✒️

Come by Studios and see their work featured in our front window for the month of May, in the Printmaker's Studio year-round, and in the Poetic Prints exhibition through the month of June!

The worlds of poetry and visual arts intertwine in this exhibition that features art inspired by poetry. Join us on May 4th from 6-9pm for an evening of inspiration as you meet the visionary printmakers and poets behind this exhibit.
