The artists of the Paso Robles Art Association consider color as an element of art, as the language of the artist, and as a powerful tool to express the artist’s idea. They communicate diverse ideas with symbolic effects of color and how colors relate to each other. Their uses of color may be mono chromatic, complementary and use schemes as methods to create hot and cold, near and far, conflict and ease, focal point and background.
