Timothy Wampler continues his lifelong curiosity of the photograph. Hooked by Polaroid’s immediate feedback in the early 1970’s he pursued 25 years of Advertising photography, embracing digital imaging in the mid 90’s as a way to ‘photograph things that didn’t exist.’ More recently Timothy has educated aspiring photographers with lessons learned from his adventures at the ‘bleeding edge’ of digital imaging technology.
Driven by his fascination with ‘the place’ or discovery of the discarded object, Timothy still loves film and the primitive nature of images produced by antique equipment, archaic processes and the creative accident. He lives in the Paso Robles area with his wife Sondra and their two dogs.
