Susanna Hoy paints en plein air because of her love of "the beautiful hills, fields, the old oak trees and the lays of the land around us." Her paintings are influenced by the "wind, fog, heat (and even bugs)." She cherishes the opportunity to paint outside: "To be able to just set up and go for it is simply wonderful."
