Peggy Turk's passion in life is plein air painting (painting outdoors from life). She primarily paints seascapes and landscapes in oil. Peggy took up painting 14 years ago to help alleviate the stress from her long-time legal career. Although mostly self-taught, she continually pushes herself to become a master artist. Peggy and her family recently moved from the Lake Tahoe area to the Central Coast, not only for a change of scenery (and to get out of the snow!), but so that she could pursue being a professional artist. Peggy loves the diversity, beauty and gentle climate, as well as the heartwarming people who make San Luis Obispo county their home.
Peggy says, "I am honored to be accepted into Studios as a resident artist, and am thrilled to be working with the brilliant and dedicated artists and professionals who have made Studios into the gem that it is. I also look forward to better knowing the community that makes this area so special."
