Meet April’s featured Resident Artist Hilda Freyre! 🎨

“I paint places that speak to my soul, that make me laugh inside and that make my heart jump with excitement.” Hilda hopes that her oil paintings bring sunshine and happiness to anyone and everyone that views her artwork 🌞

You can see her artwork in our front window for the month of April, and always in her studio!

Join us on Saturday, April 5 from 6-9pm for the opening of Libations, a pop-up photography exhibition showing the works of Sarah Plenge.

"The works exhibited in Libations are concentric on our most precious gift in life, water. I feel compelled to share images that convey its lessons on flow, transformation, and surrender, as my life revolves primarily around aquatic endeavors. I am fascinated by the process by which connection with a liquid element invites us to the still place within ourselves. Water has been my greatest spiritual teacher: I feel more fish than girl most days. Both humans and the Earth are composed in nearly equal ratios of the stuff, suggesting that we reflect one another in perpetuity. I hope that these images invite the viewer to revere water as our communal life force, and to treat our planet as a friend perennially - not just on Earth Day of every year."

On April 12th at 11am, join us for an inspiring conversation with artist Bruce Munro and award-winning composer Nainita Desai as they discuss their new exhibit, FOSO (Fiber Optic Symphonic Orchestra), at @sensoriopaso. This visionary installation features 32 state-of-the-art columns of light set in a rotary structure and synchronized to a musical score creating the experience of an orchestra playing amid the lights.

Munro, renowned for his large-scale light installations worldwide, and Desai, a trailblazer in film and immersive sound composition, will share insights into their creative process, the intersection of light and music, and the collaborative journey behind FOSO. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from two leading artists pushing the boundaries of sensory art.
