Lynn Kishiyama

Lynn Kishiyama returned to her artistic roots when she moved to Japan in 1999 and discovered the beautiful craft of traditional Japanese paper-making. Lynn studied the traditional craft of paper making in Ogawamachi and inspired her to create her first kimono collages.

Returning to California in 2001, she continued to experiment with paper’s potential, developing new processes of mixing paper with other media using paper and her memories of life in Japan as her creative medium and artistic vision.
