Through the use of brightly colored acrylics, Katy Thompson-Graves creates works of shapes and textures reminiscent of Hans Hoffman and Pablo Picasso. Katy began painting as a child growing up in the mountains of Montana. She refined her skills at Montana State University. Since moving to California, Katy says that she finds inspiration for her work around every corner. Katy hopes to create work that creates discussion about art. She says, "If they are talking about it and what it means to them, I have done my job as an artist."
