Elizabeth J. Kilimnik

Elizabeth J. Kilimnik

Elizabeth J. Kilimnik grew up in Pasadena, California. She is 6th in a family with 10 children. She says, “There was never a dull moment! I was encouraged to draw. My mother taught me to sew and alter patterns. I would draw my own illustrations of Aesop’s Fables, nursery rhymes and family stories. I was allowed to use the Brownie Camera! There was very little TV and NO computer to interfere with my inventive thoughts.”

At college Elizabeth pursued many creative endeavors such as weaving, photography, sculpture, jewelry and ceramics. In quick succession she

graduated from Pasadena City College, then from CSULB with a B.A. Degree. After graduating, Elizabeth and her husband raised their 6 children (2 sets of twins!) and has lived on the Central Coast for 42 years.
As her children started to move on to college Elizabeth began anew her exploration of studio art. She took advantage of courses in Printmaking and Ceramics as well as Digital Art and Painting at Cuesta College. Her goal was to reignite and expand her artistic side. Extensive travels to many places such as Italy, Southeast Asia, Bali, Mexico, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Paris have fueled her with many new ideas.

Elizabeth is currently a Printmaker and Clayworker. Now you will find Elizabeth in her home studio producing colorful woodcuts, linocuts and monoprints and more. She has been a member of the Central Coast Printmakers for 10 years and now shows her prints at Studios on the Park in Studio 13.
