Just as artists explore the interplay of color and form when creating new works of art, orchid breeders use the tools of selective breeding to create new works of art in the orchid world. The use of color by artistic masters will be compared to modern orchid breeders use of newly discovered orchids to expand the color pallet of orchids. The talk will conclude with guidelines for caring for your “Trader Joe’s” orchid and how to get your orchids to re-bloom. A fun talk about orchids as works of art.
