Aquarius 2012 is an open exhibition sponsored by the Central Coast Watercolor Society. The exhibition aim is to recognize and encourage watermedia painting and to further stimulate the collecting of original works of art. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Central Coast Watercolor Society members range from Nipomo to Paso Robles and Cambria, and this Pacific Region Exhibition is open to watermedia artists from California, Oregon, and Washington.
Juror Christopher Schink is an internationally known painter, author and instructor. Mr. Schink hold a B.A. degree in Fine Arts from Stanford University and has studied privately with Rex Brandt, Edward Betts, and Barse Miller. Schink is an elected member of the National Watercolor Society and an Honorary Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Schink's paintings have been included in numerous national and international exhibitions. Mr. Schink has also conducted workshops in 45 states in the U.S. as well as classes in other countries.
